Building student involvement, fostering civic engagement and enhancing community service to advance public health.

Earlier this month, students of the D24, D23, and D25 class participated in the Community Servings service event! This program is a non profit food and nutrition program that caters food to individuals and families will critical and chronic illness in the Massachusetts area. We participated in preparing, cooking, and packaging meals by splitting into different groups. We believe as health care professionals it is not only necessary to cater help with oral health, but overall health of individuals. With Thanksgiving right around the corner, we wanted to serve in our community with home cooked meals. Good nutrition is essential for successful prognosis in those with chronic illnesses and oral health deficiency. It was a wonderful and rewarding event to end the semester by serving altogether.

Thank you to those who volunteered. (Giuliana Aliaga Romero, Grace Heo, Alisha Patel, Samara Aoun, Kendrick Lee, Alexandra Garcini, Hae Min Song, and Sumona Eity)
