On Monday October 31st 2022 the AAPHD club hosted Halloween Night at the Condon Boys and Girls Club. The objective of the event was to educate children aging from six to twelve about oral health care and healthy food options. Five Tufts Dental students participated in the event and arrive at the boys and girls club at 3:45 pm. The event started at 4:00 pm and lasted for an hour.

The dental students started off with a small ice breaker game followed by a tooth brushing technique. After both exercise the kids were then asked a series of questions about healthy eating options. Working with Ashley the Director of the girls’ club was very professional and timely.

The best part of the event were the children doing teach back method of how to brush and floss. At the end of the event all children were given goodie bags with a kiddie toothbrush with toothpaste and a sticker.

Something that the could have been better was the planning and more members being available to help. However Halloween night was a success!
