ADA 2022 Health Literacy in Dentistry Essay Contest

Tufts University School of Dental Medicine is participating in the National 2022 ADA Health Literacy in Dentistry Essay Contest, with this year’s essay topic, Not Just Teeth: Why The Dental Team Is Essential For My Overall Health, reflecting the importance of the oral-systemic connection, and how critical regular dental care is to a patient’s overall health.

This voluntary contest begins on September 15th and the deadline to submit your essay to Dr. Nicole Holland (Nicole.Holland@tufts.edu) is October 30th. The national first place contest winner will receive $2,000, their essay posted on the ADA Health Literacy webpage and announced in the ADA News.  The second place winner will receive $1,000. Three (3) runners-up will receive $500 each. Each school’s selected contest entrant will receive a certificate of acknowledgement to be shared with their state dental association.
