Building student involvement, fostering civic engagement and enhancing community service to advance public health.

On Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Tufts Dental students gathered in Cambridge to partake in an event organized by the Many Helping Hands 365 Organization. The walk was in celebration and reflection of Reverend Martin Luther King. SNDA shares a reflection from the event they attended.

“While we celebrate and honor the life of Reverend Martin Luther King, today is also a chance to reflect, to learn, and to take a good look at where we are on the civil rights journey. It was an honor to locally celebrate this day with fellow classmates and other members of the Boston community. As a community, we walked from Starlight in Central Square through The Port Neighborhood and learn about Cambridge’s Black and Brown History. Grateful to be a part of this experience put on by Many Helping Hands 365 Organization. ”
