The Talloires Network Leaders Conference (TNLC) 2021 will virtually convene this fall with a theme of “Global Institutions, Local Impact,” and students are encouraged to participate. The conference, hosted by Tufts University’s Tisch College of Civic Life and the Institute of Politics at Harvard Kennedy School, is scheduled for Thursday, September 30 through Sunday, October 3, 2021 and will bring together university, nonprofit and community leaders from around the world.
Through interactive workshops and plenary sessions with a diverse group of speakers and facilitators, the virtual conference will explore how universities can contribute to a healthier, safer and more sustainable world; how to assess that impact; and how to strengthen it. Together, participants will engage in critical reflection and dialogue, share ideas and build collaborations for action on important and interrelated issues, including:
Pandemic Recovery and Resilience
Conflict and Inequality
Climate Justice
Assessing Engagement
Civic Engagement Futures.
Harvard President Larry Bacow, Tufts President Tony Monaco and President Nieves Segovia of Universidad Camilo Jose Cela will open the conference; and Secretary John Kerry, U.S. Special Presidential Envoy for Climate, will deliver keynote remarks.
Students are encouraged to participate, and Tufts University students may register for free by using the promotional code: JUMBOS21.
