Hirsh Library Newsletter July 2021

By Amanda Nevius, on behalf of the Hirsh Library

A special welcome to our new PGs! For those who don’t know, just about each month I send a newsletter with Hirsh Library monthly happenings and updates.

[Amanda Nevius] sent a special announcement last week regarding the Hirsh Library’s Service Desk reopening. Attached is a pdf of that email to this one, just in case you missed it.

Amanda Nevius is the speaker this month for the ADEA EBD Special Interest Group’s monthly speaker series. Please see the attached flier for full details.

You’re invited to the Anti-Racism Reading Group’s Summer Reading Series:

Throughout the summer months, we’re discussing the book – Body and Soul: The Black Panther Party and the Fight against Medical Discrimination by Alondra Nelson.

  • All meetings held virtually on Zoom and are not recorded.
  • The July meeting is on the 9th, noon to 1pm EST.
  • Please attend in July even if you did not attend in June. We’re happy to have you!

New Resource: Textbook: Digital Workflow in Reconstructive Dentistry

Published in 2019, the textbook Digital Workflow in Reconstructive Dentistry includes chapters on intraoral scanning, digital radiography, CAD/CAM, and more. We have this available both as a print and an electronic book.

Virtual Workshops:

We’re getting ready to resume our Virtual Workshops on Zoom. Please take a moment and send me your suggestion(s) for workshop topics for August on this Qualtrics form.
