Hello TUSDM and happy April!
In response to suggestions and requests when we went hybrid, I send periodic newsletters on behalf of Hirsh Library highlighting things that may be of interest to TUSDM.
Resource Highlight: Dentistry LibGuide
LibGuides are research guides created by Hirsh Library staff. If you search the Library’s website, the LibGuide content does not necessarily display. Please take a moment to visit the Dentistry LibGuide to see the research help on various topics currently available there. Have a suggestion or a request for a subpage on it? Just send me an email.
Anti-Racism Reading Group (ARRG): April Meeting
Please join the Hirsh Health Sciences Library in our third ARRG discussion on Friday, April 23rd noon to 1pm EST! You do not need to have attended any previous ARRG meetings to attend this one. We hope this will be an empowering, interdisciplinary space of learning and unlearning that will catalyze change in your respective departments, disciplines, and fields. Learn more and register here.
Upcoming April Virtual Workshops:
Virtual workshops are free, open to the entire Tufts community, and held via Zoom. To facilitate the informal nature of workshops and create a welcoming environment for those who prefer not to be recorded, please note that they are not recorded. Click on the link to read full descriptions and register.
Featured Article:
Each newsletter I will draw out one dentistry/oral health related recent publication that I think will be of interest to the TUSDM community.
Mosen DM, Banegas MP, Dickerson JF, et al. Examining the association of medical-dental integration with closure of medical care gaps among the elderly population. J Am Dent Assoc. 2021;152(4):302-308. doi:10.1016/j.adaj.2020.12.010
Suggested Leisure Reading and Library Sponsored Leisure Activities:
Each newsletter I will highlight a suggested leisure reading available to the Tufts community. I will also highlight any leisure activities sponsored by the library going on this month.
Warmly,
Amanda Nevius, on behalf of the Hirsh Library
