Building student involvement, fostering civic engagement and enhancing community service to advance public health. 

The Asian Community Development Corporation (ACDC), one of Tufts University’s community partners in Boston’s Chinatown, is looking for student volunteers who are able to do written translation in Chinese and/or oral translation in Cantonese or Mandarin. Below are the unpaid volunteer opportunities. Please note this work will be done virtually/remotely.

 Opportunities:

  • Written translation: 1-2hrs/week; start now-Dec 2021 (ACDC is willing to work around the academic calendar)
  • Oral interpretation: April-May: 0.5hr prep 1/week + 2hr workshop 1/week; June-July: 0.5hr prep 1/week + 2hr workshop 1/every other week.

Goal: support immigrant, resident leadership through artmaking workshops & facilitate relationship building between local artists & residents (Cantonese & Mandarin).
