The Asian Community Development Corporation (ACDC), one of Tufts University’s community partners in Boston’s Chinatown, is looking for student volunteers who are able to do written translation in Chinese and/or oral translation in Cantonese or Mandarin. Below are the unpaid volunteer opportunities. Please note this work will be done virtually/remotely.
Opportunities:
- Written translation: 1-2hrs/week; start now-Dec 2021 (ACDC is willing to work around the academic calendar)
- Oral interpretation: April-May: 0.5hr prep 1/week + 2hr workshop 1/week; June-July: 0.5hr prep 1/week + 2hr workshop 1/every other week.
Goal: support immigrant, resident leadership through artmaking workshops & facilitate relationship building between local artists & residents (Cantonese & Mandarin).
