Virtual Drop-in Meditation – Two Offerings:
These drop-in group sessions will help you come into the present moment, lower anxiety, reduce isolation, and improve focus/concentration!
- Every Thursday at 12:30pm, Dr. Christina Pastan, Director, Mind-Body Wellness, School of Dental Medicine offers a 20-minute session which begins with a short talk about an aspect of meditation followed by a guided experience.

Virtual Yoga offerings:
Practicing yoga is said to come with many benefits for both mental and physical health. To learn about the benefits of yoga check out the nine-benefits-of-yoga article from John Hopkins Medicine. In addition, join us during one of the below offerings to get started or to continue your journey.
- Restorative Yoga offered by Dr. Pastan, via Zoom on Tuesdays at 5:00pm. Wear comfortable clothing and if you have a yoga mat or towel have them available. Please log on 5 minutes before the start of class and get yourself situated for practice. Participants will not to be able to enter the class after 5:10pm. Participants video will not be seen, and no experience is necessary. Dr. Pastan is looking forward to seeing you on the mat!

Weekly Step Challenge | Saturdays – Fridays at 9:00am EST
Who is ready for some healthy competition? After multiple requests and by popular demand we are restarting the weekly step challenge! Walk on your own or in a physical distant social group. Please record your steps below and we will randomly select a winner from each program at the end of the week. To be eligible for weekly drawings steps must be entered by 9:00am on Fridays.
Winners will receive a GC to Grubhub or Sweetgreen. Let’s get moving, Jumbos!

Upcoming Wellness Activities:
Saturdays at 10:00am in February, Yoga:
This 30-minute gentle flow class will get you moving in a mindful way. We’ll move and breathe through a range of yoga postures intentionally designed in sequence to leave you feeling relaxed, refreshed, and ready to head into your weekend! No prior yoga experience is required.
This series will be taught by Kim Daniels, student in the DPT program!
Kim took her first yoga class as a stressed-out college student and left the studio wanting to skip through the streets of Boston. Since then, she has discovered what she loves about yoga – the ability to get into the body and out of the mind. She became a yoga teacher in order to inspire people to find their “inner yogi,” whether they are practicing asana in the studio or practicing pranayama during rush hour traffic. She has completed a 200-hour yoga teacher training in 2015 and has been teaching since then. She is currently completing a 300-hour training.

Yoga Sculpt Zoom Class
If you are you looking to mix things up and get your heart rate pumping then join us for Yoga Sculpt. This is a yoga flow class that incorporates cardio movements, weight training, and upbeat music. All levels are welcome, and weights are optional! This series of classes will be facilitated by Julia Citron, TUSM class of 2024. Julia has been teaching for one year and is excited to share her expertise with you. You will be challenged and inspired!
