Building student involvement, fostering civic engagement and enhancing community service to advance public health.

For the first time ever, HDA‘s annual Spanish Terminology Course was hosted virtually last week on Thursday 10/15. The lesson was presented by Marely Estrada (D23) on the basics of Spanish, such as introductions and common phrases. After the presentation, with the help of HDA’s advisors Dr. Correa and Dr. Forero, and volunteer members, we were able to help students practice their Spanish in breakout rooms.

Our first virtual class was a success! We are looking forward to our next sessions this week (10/19-10/22), where we will transition to medical history, CAMBRA, anatomy, and additional dental terminology!
