The Women in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Symposium is a 2-day professional conference in Boston, Massachusetts! Sponsored by the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) and the Harvard School of Dental Medicine (HSDM). This conference was developed to bring together female oral and maxillofacial surgeons from across the country to discuss career development and personal success in our evolving, but still male-dominated profession. The aim of this conference are to provide a platform to discuss the unique opportunities and challenges faced by female surgeons throughout their career. The conference will be focused on skill building in leadership, conflict management and career development. We have built in time for panel Q&As as well as a networking reception to provide the space for practitioners, trainees and staff to establish lifelong friendships and mentorships.
