Tuesday, April 2 is World Autism Awareness Day. The CDC estimates that autism affects 1 in 59 children in the United States. Autism, or autism spectrum disorder (ASD), refers to a broad range of conditions characterized by challenges with social skills, repetitive behaviors, speech and nonverbal communication; some of these attributes may complicate dental care. Come gain experience working with this population through volunteering through AADMD at the Lee School and at other events. This Tuesday wear blue to show support and help raise awareness for ASD. The Prudential Center will also light up in blue in the evening!
