Building student involvement, fostering civic engagement and enhancing community service to advance public health.

On behalf of the Conference Coordinating Team and the Harvard School of Public Health Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Fellows, we cordially invite the students and affiliates of Tufts Dental School to the Health Equity and Leadership (HEAL) Conference. The conference takes place Saturday, March 30, 2019 from 8 am – 5 pm at our campus in Boston, MA.

In 2012, a group of students dedicated to generating discourse and action to ameliorate racial, gender, sexual, and socioeconomic health inequities in the Boston and Cambridge communities decided to form HEAL. Since that time, HEAL’s scope has expanded to locations nationally and globally because structural inequities are not bound by bordersAdditionally, students have expressed interest in gaining concrete skills that they can use in their future careers during their time at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. We believe participants will leave with a broadened understanding of health equity and ways in which we can work collectively to achieve it. This year’s theme is “Health Equity and Leadership In Action: Now What?”

Please find a registration link here: https://hsph.me/heal2019The conference is completely free to all attendees! I’ve also attached a Save the Date flyer for you to disseminate.
