Building student involvement, fostering civic engagement and enhancing community service to advance public health.

This past weekend HDA joined the Mexican Consulate of Boston in New Hampshire to help provide services to the Mexican population there. The volunteers (Gabriela Sangiovanni (D21), Daniela Rendon (D21), Katherine Ynisare(D21), Lily Razavi (D21)) and Faculty advisor, Dr. Correa, enjoyed a wonderful morning/afternoon providing oral health instructions to adults and children of all ages.

Gabi Sangiovanni (D21) reflects: “We also played games with the kids that involved teaching them about nutrition and oral hygiene instructions as well. It was great to see how much the community enjoyed our visit and the help we were able to provide. We look forward to more events in the near future and hope to continue working alongside the Mexican Consulate to help the Mexican communities in the New England area.”
