Building student involvement, fostering civic engagement and enhancing community service to advance public health.

Check out last weeks post and challenge in Spanish to practice your bilingual skills!

This past November 18th, members from Hispanic Dental Association had the opportunity to participate in the Health Education Fair, Latinos for Waltham.  The students provided oral health instructions to the participants and tips on how to maintain a healthy mouth. At the event 20 families in need from the Waltham community participated and were gifted Turkeys and other foods for the Thanksgiving festivities. Throughout the event the community members also had the opportunity to speak to an Immigration lawyer and a financial specialist to seek help and have their questions addressed. On behalf of the HDA Community Service Representatives we would like to give a special thanks to Christian Mendoza (D20) and Janelle Diaz (D20) for participating and making this event successful.
