Tufts recently launched its own crowdfunding platform for student, faculty, and staff projects (crowdfund.tufts.edu). Like Kickstarter, this tool allows users to create a project, set a goal, and raise funds to reach their goal. Kickstarter and similar platforms take a cut of the money raised, Tufts Crowdfunding does not. The Tufts Crowdfunding team is accepting applications for the first wave of projects now through Feb. 20. If appropriate, please promote the new Tufts Crowdfunding platform to students, faculty, groups, and organizations that raise money for projects from club t-shirts to new crew boats to research funding.
