The Student National Dental Association (SNDA) will be holding our annual Impressions Day Program 2016 next weekend on
Saturday, November 19th at TUSDM from 9am-4pm.
The Impressions Day Program invites high school and college students from diverse backgrounds to TUSDM to expose them to the field of dentistry. If you know any high school or college students who are considering a career in dentistry or simply want to learn more about the field, feel free to invite them to Impressions Day! VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!!!
We would appreciate both student and faculty volunteers in one or all of the following categories:
- DAY-LONG MENTORSHIP: Answering the pre-dental students’ questions, sharing your dental school journey with them, providing advice and resources, etc. throughout the duration of the program.
- TOURS: You will take the undergraduate and high school students on a guided tour of the dental school.
- TYPODONT IMPRESSIONS: You will teach and assist the students with taking alginate impressions on typodonts in the Pre-Clinical lab.
- MOCK INTERVIEWS/PROFESSIONALISM WORKSHOP: We will provide you with potential interview questions and you will conduct mock interviews with students and teach them some of the interview skills you have learned over the years. You will also provide them with feedback on their résumé and personal statements.
There are many ways to help! Anyone interested in volunteering, please sign up via the link below. Feel free to sign-up for as little as one 2-hour shift, or as much as helping for the entire day of the program!

Please note: SNDA will host a short volunteer orientation for all volunteers next Thursday, November 17th in the Dental CE Classroom (Room 1415) from 12:00pm to 1:00pm. A reminder email will be sent to volunteers next week.
