Building student involvement, fostering civic engagement and enhancing community service to advance public health.

This summer, Delta Sigma Delta (DSD) got involved with the Boston community by running an oral health station at the Special Olympics. The first year students made mouth guards for participants and taught methods of maintaining oral health while the upper classmen preformed dental screenings.

On August 21st, members of DSD traveled out to the Tufts Medford campus to volunteer alongside the Tufts Alumni Foundation for their annual Foster Children Summer Picnic. Foster Children and their families come together to do arts and crafts, play games, and socialize. The DSD crew manned the very popular drawing table.

Recently, DSD hosted its first wax up help session for the incoming first year students. The turnout was very successful and allowed for the first year students to meet some of the upper classmen. DSD will also be holding a tooth identification workshop for the D20s next week on August 30th at 7:30 pm to all interested.
