The 2015-2016 TUSDM Health Literacy Intensive (HLI) students are hosting a Teach-Back Workshop on June 13, 2016 from 7-9pm.
‘Teach-Back’ is a health literacy-related communication method used to facilitate patient understanding in a clinical setting.This workshop is open to members of the TUSDM community who are interested in learning about the Teach-Back method and how to apply it clinically. This interactive workshop will help you:
- Learn the teach-back method and the key components for effectively using it
- Understand the value of the teach-back method to improve patient care
- Practice applying the knowledge and skills learned at the workshop
Space is limited to 40 people. Please RSVP to Mijung Myung by 10am by Friday 6/10/16. RSVP confirmations with further instruction will be sent on a first-come, first-served basis.
