One of the most important topics in dentistry is head and neck cancer. We spend a lot of time at Tufts learning how to diagnose and treat head and neck cancer during our second year. A lot of our clinical experience also requires us to perform a thorough oral cancer screening for our patients.
Since head and neck cancer is very important to the dental profession, Aekta Patel (D18) has decided to start a Head and Neck Cancer Organization. The goal of this organization will be to better educate the community (and students) on how to recognize the signs and symptoms of oral cancer and when to get help.
If you are interested in being a general member OR holding a position on the E-board, please use this Google Doc to add your name and some other information. It won’t take up much of your time, but it will make a big difference in the long run!
