Building student involvement, fostering civic engagement and enhancing community service to advance public health.

The sun’s back out and so is Tufts Dental LGBTQA! We’ll be kicking off the warm weather by marching in the 2016 Boston Pride Parade on June 11th!

Our group’s mission is to provide a safe and open environment for LGBTQ and allied current and prospective Tufts Dental students to connect and socialize. We are working as a group to expand our community outreach and partnerships to promote oral health awareness and refer resources to LGBTQ communities, as well as providing education and resources for providers to better serve these communities.

Together, with Tufts Medical Center and the Tufts Biomedical Queer Alliance (BQA), which represents students, faculty and staff of the schools on the Tufts Health Sciences Campus, we will be marching in support and celebration of the LGBTQA community here at Tufts. The parade starts at noon on Saturday, June 11th in Copley square and continues through the South End and the Boston Public Gardens and Common before finishing at the Boston Pride Festival in City Hall Plaza. The Tufts Dental LGBTQA will also be hosting a pre-parade brunch to fuel up for the march starting at 10am. This is the first time that Tufts Medical Center will be marching in the parade, so come out and show your support for this historic moment for our school and the community while we advocate for diversity, unity, visibility and dignity!

Register HERE to march with Tufts Medical Center and BQA in the Pride Parade (and do so ASAP for a free shirt!).
