Attention TUSDM Faculty and Staff:
Join Tisch College for the 2016 Frontiers of Democracy Conference
The 2016 Frontiers of Democracy conference, organized and sponsored by the Jonathan M. Tisch College of Civic Life, will take place on June 23-25, 2016 at Tufts University’s Boston campus.
This annual conference started at Tufts in 2009, and it is the main international interdisciplinary conference devoted to civic life. It draws seasoned practitioners who are experienced with civic practices—from building online dialogues to organizing unions—along with theorists concerned with the nature and purpose of civic institutions and engagement. The featured plenary speakersare distinguished and diverse in many respects. In addition, participants can choose among 21 highly interactive concurrent sessions on topics ranging from civic science, to teaching democracy, to growing grassroots movements, to participation in faith communities.
Registration for Frontiers is limited to 120 people. Some openings remain at this time, and a discounted rate is available to Tufts University faculty, staff and community partners. Please join us by registering HERE.
