On March 10, 2016, members of the American Association of Public Health Dentistry (AAPHD) visited college students at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts Wellness Fair. Tufts AAPHD had a booth on oral health, gave out goodies like toothbrushes and toothpaste, had interactive games like Jeopardy, and gave out information on careers in the dental profession.
AAPHD Community Outreach Representative Swaitha Maripuri (D16) had wonderful things to say about her experience:
“It was a great event. We were able to interact with art students of college age. We talked a lot about their possible future in the dental setting which was very interesting and exciting. It was great to also walk around the fair and see what Tufts has to offer for students about their wellbeing. My group signed up for a few different things (including Reike and self-defense programs). Overall it was a fun event and I would definitely do it again!”
