Tufts’ Student National Dental Association (SNDA) is looking for student and faculty volunteers for the IDEAS in Medicine Field Trip organized by Tufts Medical School. Each year, they bring over 100 7th grade students from a Chelsea, MA middle school in an effort to get them excited about the health sciences. The event is the culmination of a year-long tutoring and mentoring partnership. This is the third year that they are including a dental component.
The program is next week on Friday, February 5th from 9:00am-12:30pm in Pre-Clin, and the students will be taking typodont impressions. The volunteer shifts will be 9:00am -9:30am, 9:30am-10:30am, 10:30am-11:30am, and 11:30am-12:30pm. Please sign-up on the google doc linked below. This is a great opportunity to teach youth about dentistry! Lastly, even if you can’t volunteer please sign-up to donate your typodont for the day.
