Last month, the AAPD (American Academy of Pediatric Dentists) hosted a Halloween Party in the TUSDM Pediatric clinic. The event was an informative and fun session for the pediatric patients of TUSDM and their parents. Along with teaching the children proper oral hygiene technique, AAPD members spoke with them about choosing healthier snacks over the Halloween season, as well as safe trick or treating practices. Some patients had the chance to read a story book based on nutrition. Each patient was given a goody bag with toothbrushes and toothpaste, pretzels, water, a coloring book and other small Halloween themed goodies. Special thanks to AAPD Community Service Chair Tracy Tchintchin (D18) for sending us some great pictures!
