Sweet aroma of pumpkin spice bagels, Chinese sweet rolls and dark roast coffee filled the air of Josiah Quincy Elementary School’s Library on Sept. 28th. The occasion was the Annual Appreciation Breakfast for the JQ school teachers and staff given by TUSDM Dept. of Public Health and Community Service. TUSDM has a portable dental clinic on 3rd floor of JQ school where Dental students, AEGD Residents, dental hygiene students and faculty and staff of TUSDM provide dental care to the children of JQ elementary school. The dental clinic at the JQ school provides preventive and restorative dental services to patients with high risk for dental disease and patients with physical and intellectual disabilities. The clinic also provides collaborative learning experience to Pediatric medicine Residents and dental school students. The complex operation at the JQ school based Dental clinic is successful due to a lot of cooperation from the teachers and staff of the JQ elementary school. So, this time of year we thank them with sumptuous breakfast and a GOODY Bag with oral hygiene supplies!!
