Last week, the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry visited Cradles to Crayons in Brighton. The goal of Cradles to Crayons is to provide children in need with quality items of clothing, school supplies and other everyday necessities. Group leader Tracy Tchintchin (D18) had this say about the event:
“From this experience I was reminded of several things. For example, when donating, donate quality items! Sometimes, when we are giving things away, the focus is on clearing out a closet or storage space. We must remember that every item will have a new owner. I also was reminded of the lives of many unfortunate children, and of the importance of giving. It was a great learning experience.
