TUFTS AESTHETICS CLUB
It’s a well known fact that Tufts University School of Dental Medicine is at the forefront of clinical education and research. Graduates from Tufts are perceived as great clinicians and excel in all aspects of dentistry. As members of this profession, we believe that there is an ever-increasing demand in the field of aesthetic dentistry, and we need a platform that integrates all of the aspects that lead to the creation of an aesthetic smile. Aesthetics requires the interdisciplinary approach of Periodontics, Restorative, Prosthodontics, and Implant Dentistry.
The primary goal of the Aesthetics Club is to increase the knowledge base and exposure of its members to the diverse field of Aesthetic Dentistry. Tufts Aesthetics Club utilizes all possible resources; including faculty, guest speakers, company workshops, PG students to achieve this goal. Membership in this club enables students to receive vast knowledge in the clinical and laboratory aspects of aesthetic dentistry. The club uses properly sequenced lecture series from renowned speakers in the various fields related to aesthetics. These lectures enable students to broadly diagnose and plan a course of treatment using an interdisciplinary approach between Periodontics, Prosthodontics, Restorative and Implant Dentistry. Students have the opportunity to learn about laboratory procedures, case management and presentation. A second, but equally important goal of the Aesthetic Club is to establish a support network that will unite students with like-minded individuals among the alumni, faculty, PG students, and practicing aesthetic dentists. This engagement will be mutually beneficial as UG students can schedule times to assist PG students and receive guidance with complicated procedures.
The Aesthetics club welcomes all DMD students, PG students and faculty to join and benefit from their experience with the club.
