Goodbye Congress, Don’t Get Rolled
Wednesday, February 20 |12 PM | Room 011, Olin Center
January 3rd saw the inauguration of the new, 116th Congress, the most diverse in our history. Many members are new to public office, and even more were elected on the promise to shake up the status quo. But what about the outgoing members of Congress that collectively makeup up one of the highest turnover rates of any Congressional session? Join Tisch College for a special screening of “Goodbye Congress, Don’t Get Rolled,” the newly released short film from renowned documentarian Alexandra Pelosi that is both a farewell to departing members of congress as well as a window into the inner workings of the institution itself. Pelosi sits down with an eclectic set of congressmen for a series of insightful, honest, and highly entertaining exit interviews that offer a unique look at congress as it is seen from within its own walls. A short Q&A with the filmmaker will follow the screening. “Goodbye Congress” originally aired on VICE News Tonight on HBO on January 2, 2019. Sponsored by Tisch College and the Political Science Department. RSVP at
