Event Spotlight: SAMDA Dental Screenings

Dental students with the South Asian Medical and Dental Association successfully screened over 50 community members at a local temple (Sikh Gurdwara)!   The students performed oral cancer screenings, gave oral hygiene instructions and provided essential blood pressure monitoring for local members of the community. This is one of many screenings SAMDA will be doing throughout the school year.  Keep an eye out for future screenings as SAMDA is always looking for volunteers!

Mandy Alamwala (D16), Yogesh Gera (D16) and Khusbu Patel (D16) were joined by SAMDA faculty advisor Dr. Harish Gulati.

Event Spotlight: DSD Member Certificate Presentation

The Tufts Chapter of dental fraternity Delta Sigma Delta (DSD) held a general meeting this past Friday and President Vladik Crutcher (D16) presented newly initiated members with official certificates welcoming them to the fraternity. As always with DSD meetings, there was free pizza and salad, and members had a great time getting to know each other better while enjoying a free meal.
