Join Tisch College, the Petey Greene Program, and multiple Tufts partners for 2 days of discussion about prison, education, solitary confinement, and legislative advocacy. Graduates/participants from college-in-prison programs nation-wide will join speakers from Families for Justice as Healing, Ex-Prisoners and Prisoners Organizing for Community Advancement, Prisoners’ Legal Services, and MA Against Solitary Confinement for panels and workshops. In Boston, there will be a panel titled “Prison, Patients, and Healthcare” on the afternoon of February 1st, with the rest of programming in the Aidekman Arts Complex on the Medford Campus. The Fight of Air Climb is a fundraiser for the American Lung Association. The Tufts Dental Team is already formed. The climb is 41 stairs at One Boston Place on February 3,2018. Come just to watch and support the Firefighter’s competition!

Join us for this special opportunity to see “Thurgood,” a unique one-man play about Justice Thurgood Marshall, the first Black Justice to serve on the Supreme Court. In this powerful play, Justice Marshall recounts his career spanning from arguing the landmark case Brown v. Board of Education to serving on the Supreme Court. ASDA’s Smile, Share, and Care is off to a great start and we are looking for more volunteers to participate in this year’s program!
Smile, Share, and Care meets every Monday from 4:15-5:15pm and we provide Oral Hygiene Instruction and fun dentistry related activities to preschool students at the Wang YMCA across the street. If you’re looking to have a great time working with some awesome kids, sign up!
Due to the limited spots available, volunteers can only sign up for one session at a time. If you sign up but cannot make the session, it is your responsibility to find an alternate volunteer!

On February 6th from 9AM-12PM, AAPD members along with Dr. Martha Forero, a clinical instructor in the Pediatric Department, will be heading to Josiah Quincy School for Lessons in a Lunchbox! The members will pass out lunchboxes containing toothbrushes and toothpaste, as well as teach the kids about the importance of oral health and proper nutritional habits.

During Sharewood Project dental sessions, students meet with visitors from the local community to conduct oral health/ cancer screenings, demonstrate proper oral hygiene instructions, apply fluoride varnish, and help in referrals for further dental treatment.
We will meet at 5:15 PM by the cafe near the main entrance of the hospital (ABP) and head out together on the Orange Line to the First Church in Malden.

Lessons In a Lunchbox provides young children with education on oral health essentials and smart foods and snacking to minimized oral disease.
Join us for our first Distinguished Speaker Event of the semester, an engaging conversation with former Vice President Al Gore about climate change, politics, and public service. Gore is most famously known for being a climate activist, as well as serving as the 45th Vice President of the United States and winning the popular vote as the democratic nominee for President in 2000. Tickets are required for this event! Tickets will become available for free with a Tufts ID on February 1 at the Mayer Campus Center Information Booth. You cannot enter without a ticket!
