AO Tooth Day @ Fenway Ticket SALES @ 7th Floor lounge

Alpha Omega is participating the annual Tooth Day at Fenway! We have Red Sox tickets for the game against the Toronto Blue Jays on Tuesday, July 18th! Before the game starts, we will start the night by promoting oral health and performing oral cancer screenings to baseball fans that would like to participate. Then we can head into the stands to enjoy the game with TUSDM students and faculty! Tickets will be sold in the 7th floor lounge next week (June 26th – 30th) during lunch. Summer Yoga with Dr. Pastan @ Sackler Room 114

This summer instead of holding weekly Tuesday night yoga sessions, Dr Pastan will be holding 3 yoga sessions to keep you tuned into your body and mind during the season of Summer.
These 3 Yoga Sessions will be in Sackler Room 114
In order for these sessions to occur, we are asking that at least 10 people sign up and be in attendance. Please sign up on the link below at least 24hours in advance to each session and only if you plan on attending.

DPH Journal Club meeting @ Boston University Dental School

Reminder: July 11 at 5:30 PM is our next DPH Journal Club meeting.

Speaker: Mr. Andrew Tibbs,  the Epidemiology, Surveillance and Research Team Lead, Division of Global Populations and Infectious Disease Prevention at the Mass. Department of Public Health

Topic:  “The Everyday Implications of Tuberculosis”. (Directions below).

Where:  BU Health Policy & Health Services Research Department Conference room at 560 Harrison Ave (3rd floor). Which is walkable from Tufts! Our building is the brick building with Gaslight Restaurant on its first floor, and a Boston Sports Club to the back.  Entrance to the building is between the restaurant and the sports club, under the curved roof. Enter inside and go to the back where the elevators are. Go to the third floor and enter in through the BU dental door (not the IRB or the Architects). The conference room is down the hallway on your right. We will have arrows up to help too (once you are in the building).

Accessible by Silver Line to Union Park, and walking past the Holy Cross Cathedral to Harrison Ave. Cross the street and turn right down the walkway.

Parking: Parking is available at 560 or 500 Harrison Avenue. (I believe that 500 Harrison is slightly cheaper).

National Night Out in Chinatown  @ Tai Tung Village

Oral Health Promotion with kids and families. 
 
Event  Details:   Music, food, games and tables for displays/promotions.  Boston YES, YMCA, Greater Boston Chinese Golden Age Center, Boston, Midtown Home Health, Double Tree Hotel will have tables, Boston Police Department will have the Canine Unit, EMT will have a van and pass out gifts.  Games for the kids. The Mayor will appear at approximately 4:30 pm.
Sharewood Dental Project @ St. Paul's Parish

During Sharewood Project dental sessions, students meet with visitors from the local community to conduct oral health/ cancer screenings, demonstrate proper oral hygiene instructions, apply fluoride varnish, and help in referrals for further dental treatment.

We will meet at 5:15 PM by the cafe near the main entrance of the hospital (ABP) and head out together on the Orange Line to the First Church in Malden.
